Jan. 13th, 2005 09:43 amI'm updating from the newspaper again...sitting here seems to be my only motivation to do so.
Thoughts:
1. I really need a blazer.
2. As usual, having my birthday right after Christmas means that I got shafted, except from my grandmother, who was awesome and gave me shopping money while I was still at her house.
3. The family furs managed to stink up my other set of grandparents' entire house. And my sister could so have pulled off being a flapper.
4. Boston Legal is the best written and funniest show on television right now, hands down. The dialogue is even better than Gilmore Girl's was in the good old days.
5. Alias is most unrealistic show ever, but it's like crack. You just can't stop. And after watching 2/3 of the first season I'm a solid Vaugn/Sydney shipper.
6. James Marsters kicks ass.
7. Monstrous Regiment really kicks ass. You would think that after thirty books Terry Pratchett would start sucking, but no, he just gets better.
8. I really hope Mr. D. ends up lliking discworld, but I would have preferred to start him off on the one about Omnia, not Eric.
9. My mom is going to make me vegetarian Cincinatti Chili, so woot!
10. I don't feel like I've changed much over the last two years, mostly because I'm too busy to really change at all, I just have to keep forging ahead. It's depressing too.
11. My photo id is purdy.
12. I'm going to bomb my song in auditions today, but its ok cause I hate the song. I just wish there was some way we could come to the: I know I can't sing, You know I can't sing, do we really have to through this agreement?
13. People who actually watch something before deciding that it's bad for their kids are much better parents than those who don't.
14. Party obligations suck. We need a third major to breathe life into American politics. Or for politicians to get their heads out of their asses. Whichever.
15. I want to read the Half-blood Prince, but I'm not on the edge of my seat like I was for the others. It's not the whole, I just want the new canon thing that alot of people have though. Maybe I've just mellowed out.
16. I have a random desire to say something about fish...
